look! there's a nice review/interview over on the Chuck Palahniuk site...
Ariel Gore is an adventurer, the Indiana Jones of literature. Full-time author and part-time teacher, she’s a novelist, a memoirist, a journalist, a zinester, as well as the writer of the brand new How to Become a Famous Writer Before You’re Dead: Your Words in Print and Your Name in Lights.
And how does one do it? Ariel asked Marc Acito, novelist and Palahniuk protege, who got his big break because Chuck had read his newspaper column. She asked poet and memoirist Michele Tea the secrets to spilling your guts on both page and stage, and got them. Reclusive Dave Eggers offers fresh insights on both writing and publishing. DIY demigod Jim Munroe of www.nomediakings.org tells how (and why) you should take your word show on the road, and Pulitzer-prize winner Dave Barry talks with honesty about how hard it is to be funny... read the interview...

Hey Ariel read the interview, inspired me to kick my own ass and re-format a few bits and pieces till I had a decent article on Bipolar Disorder vs. Single Welfare Mother status together and finally sent it off to the magazine I wanted to see my work in. Thanks for your words, you're obviously a resourceful and tenacious person.
All the best,
Jess.
I just finished reading this. Probably the best, most honest book about publishing, promoting, and writing. This was needed by the writing community.
Intriguing little chit-chat with Chuck. Always have liked you both. Also picked up your new book at Powell's and adore it. The small bits are great--short and easy to read, the way I need things when I'm trying my best to finish writing my own damn book.
kudos, as always

It's 95% positive. Enjoy the review -- I certainly enjoyed your book!
How to Become A Famous Writer Before You're Dead is not just a catchy title: it's a great book full of helpful tips. I loved it and now I'm more determined than ever to write. Thank you Ariel Gore for your inspirational book and lifestyle! You Rock!
