Hi Ariel,
This is Sanford, Galen's dad, from the NBC show. Congrats on your book. I plan to check it out. Galen is going to be a 'background artist' (extra) in a movie coming out this year called 'Across the Universe', a teen movie with Beatle music throughout, so we will probably want to see it too.
Here are some inner guidances I have gotten lately:
~ don't live very near the ocean.
~ keep the beginning of 'hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy in mind every day, so nothing will shock you that is going to happen
~ if we all choose love over fear in every moment, we are exactly where we are meant to be, no worries
~ get enough rest (at least 7hrs)
~ drink alot of the cleanest water you can find
~ the movie is about to take a turn
~ be happy
~ one breath at a time
~ practicing the golden rule can make all the difference
Love to you and yours, my courageous sister.

I have the great good fortune to be spending several months in Oaxaca, I am usually in San Francisco, roughly, and to be reading this astonishing book aloud to Padre John. What a treat for both of us. I am captivated by the story, the back-story, the language, and perhaps especially, by the "saint pages."
Saludos y felicidades por su libro marvilloso. Tengo mucho suerte para tener la oportunidad para leer tan temprano. Me da alegra que desfrute sus palabras.
Que te vaya bien.

This is wayyy late, but I read the book in two days or so (between work and studying) last month, so here goes:
When I first picked it up at the library, I was not really interested by what was on the back cover (or maybe it was one of my picky days), so I did not pick it up. Months later, I returned to it because I needed to read more Ariel Gore books and I hadn't read this one yet. From the moment I read the first chapter on, I had to force myself to put down the book to get to neccessary tasks (work, bathing, walking across the street, etc.). Favorite parts: the stories about the saints (especially the way you could hear the voice of the writer of the stories loud and clear), the realistic crew of all the cast of the Show, the shoutouts to Baltimore (although it kinda ended in heartbreak; B-more can be like that, sometimes), and the happy ending (I'm a sucker for 'em). Wonderful wonderful novel; can't wait for the next one :)
